AFOL Survey - The Results

I have recently conducted a survey of AFOL on a few forums and groups I am a member of, below are all the results complied.  I have written a few comments under each section.

- I am quite surprised by the age break down, I was expecting a larger response from the 18 to 27 age group. 28 to 37  and 38 to 47 both cover the early days of LEGO so this result suggests to me that a lot of AFOL are those who enjoyed the hobby at a young age and have returned to it later in life.

- It is good to see that over 44% of AFOL surveyed are married, this proves it is not just a hobby for loners or weirdos :)

- The large response of AFOL who reported as working in Information Technology was quite surprising but given that this and engineering were the top two results it shows that LEGO in very much a hobby which attracts "technical" people.

General Comments:
After reading over the general comments a few common themes in the comments were found:
- A lot of people are looking at expanding their collections in the next 12 months.
- A few are happy to stay at their current size.
- One common theme in these responses was that people were hoping to buy less but build more, both official sets and also MOC's.
- AFOL are generally happy with the current range but would like some more variety and more challenging builds.
