This blog for my hobby of LEGO Technic building and collecting. I am mainly interested in LEGO Technic cars and trucks, both official sets and also MOC'ing. I am from Launceston Tasmania and am always looking to meet other people who are interested in Lego. I am the Vice President - North of the Taz-brick Collectors Club and I display at a number of LEGO and model related expos.

- I am quite surprised by the age break down, I was expecting a larger response from the 18 to 27 age group. 28 to 37 and 38 to 47 both cover the early days of LEGO so this result suggests to me that a lot of AFOL are those who enjoyed the hobby at a young age and have returned to it later in life.

- The large response of AFOL who reported as working in Information Technology was quite surprising but given that this and engineering were the top two results it shows that LEGO in very much a hobby which attracts "technical" people.

General Comments:
After reading over the general comments a few common themes in the comments were found:
- A lot of people are looking at expanding their collections in the next 12 months.
- A few are happy to stay at their current size.
- One common theme in these responses was that people were hoping to buy less but build more, both official sets and also MOC's.
- AFOL are generally happy with the current range but would like some more variety and more challenging builds.
